When the surrogacy procedure is based on an egg donation, the couple’s choice of donor bears numerous implications. Since the egg comprises about half of your future baby’s genetic composition, your selection will have a strong impact on the baby’s genetic makeup. Making an informed decision directly influences the procedure’s chances of success. This decision constitutes one of the most significant steps you will take, replete with considerations that deeply involve the future parents. Read more here about egg donation
Royal Surrogacy is aware of the weight this decision carries. We allow you to choose an egg donor from a list of potential donors who we have extensively tested and diligently screened and selected. Our agency constantly seeks to expand our pool of donors, all of whom are young and healthy women generally aged 18 to 28. Before an egg donor can be registered in our donor database, she must undergo rigorous testing which includes:
- Comprehensive medical examination
- Genetic testing
- Psychological tests
- Family and personal background checks
- Review of educational and personal skills
- Overall personal assessment
Once the egg donor has been accepted to the Royal Surrogacy database, her details are logged onto a private file that future parents can study in depth.
